Macon Smith of Western Guilford HS in Greensboro, NC has picked up where he left off last high school season by blasting 3 -3 run tatters in his first three games of the year. In 2008 the 6'3" 190 lb Catcher hit .400 with 10 HR and over 40 RBI's. Macon was named All-State and Conference Player of the Year for the Hornets. Macon is a very versatile player that runs in the 6.7 range and has the ability to play in several positions on the diamond. He will play this summer and fall for the North Carolina Baseball Academy Golden Spikes Prospect Team.
