| Daniel Bard Makes Major League Debut for Red Sox |
 Former On Deck O's and Charlotte Christian standout, Daniel Bard, of Charlotte, NC, was called up on Sunday May 10, 2009 with the Boston Red Sox. Bard made his Major League debut on the mound Thursday May 14th. His first inning of work came in the 6th against the Anaheim Angels during which he featured a 98 mph fastball. He struck out the first hitter he faced with three fastballs. Congratulations to Daniel and his family! |
